Happy Spring Break!

Before you depart on that much-needed vacay (or even if you’re staying home), now is the perfect time for a wardrobe refresh—including your jewelry.

I’m updating my Easter outfits with a new pair of candy-colored earrings (or several), starting with the jelly bean colors in designer Roxanne Assoulin’s Hip Hop But Not collection.

Perfect with the pastel knits and tweeds I loved on the spring runways, Assoulin’s whimsical drops are an affordable way to try the most delicious colors of the season.

Let’s take a look at these and a few more new earrings for Spring ’19.

Hop to It

Because you’re obsessed by jewelry, you are probably familiar with the gorgeous Swarovski crystal earrings in the Hip Hop But Not collection. Roxanne Assoulin has developed a cult following in the past two years for her cheerful and playful jewelry designs.

While Assoulin’s drops have been widely copied, I’m finally going to splurge on the real thing for two reasons: 1) I love the way her new color combos pair with neutrals for spring; and 2) this season she has introduced a Baby Crystal Drop for $75—a little more than half the price of last year’s styles.

Hip Hop But Nots are available at better department stores and on ModaOperandi.com.

Ever since Pantone announced that “Living Coral” is the Color of the Year for 2019, I’ve been craving just a touch of coral.

After considering a T-shirt, a silk scarf, and a bathing suit, I eventually found my solution in, you guessed it, hoops.

These Selenne Lucite Hoop Earrings by BaubleBar are available at Bloomingdale’s for only $36.

The lush spring shade provides a pop of fresh color for khaki, navy, black, and white.

Coral will also work as a “new neutral” with all your summer prints.

Many women in our office are big fans of designer Kendra Scott. The Texas-based jeweler and entrepreneur is known for her affordable sliced stone earring styles, and this spring her colors are more luscious than ever.

Consider Scott’s Didi Gold Statement Earrings in Azalea Illusion (above left); they’re $110 at kendrascott.com and wherever Kendra Scott Jewelry is sold.

I also adore the long lavender drops (above right), handcrafted in sterling silver and amethyst by famed Danish jeweler Georg Jensen. Would you believe I found them on sale for $349 at TJMaxx.com?

In fact, I love them so much I’m including a pair in my sister’s Easter basket…but only because I know she’ll share her goodies with me!
