Obsessed by Jewelry Red Carpet Jewelry Roundup | October 2015
The Duchess of Cambridge

Everyone at OBJ has been on “tiara alert” ever since reporting on Kate, the Duchess of Cambridge’s jewelry style last spring. At that time, Kate had only worn a diamond tiara on two occasions — her wedding and a reception in 2013. Last week’s China State Dinner at Buckingham Palace gave us a third peek at the royal tiara collection. It was Kate’s first state banquet and she stole the show in a cherry red Jenny Packham custom gown and the Lotus Flower tiara, one of Princess Margaret’s favorites.

Dame Helen Mirren
Making a red carpet appearance at the October 22 premiere of “Red 2” at the Tokyo International Film Festival, 70-year-old Helen Mirren stunned in a flower-splashed gown by Badgley Mischka. The British subject, who was given the title “Dame” by the Queen, wore a dazzling pair of drop-style diamond earrings. At a daytime festival event, Mirren donned a statement necklace and matching earrings by Vickisarge of London.

Anna Wintour
The dynamic editor of American Vogue was born in Great Britain; her influence on fashion and jewelry is felt around the world. Last week, Wintour co-hosted a private dinner for the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) with Kim Kardashian. Pictured here at the Chateau Marmont in L. A., Wintour shines in an Oscar de la Renta carnation print dress and her signature jeweled riviere necklaces. Kim K. also went for the layered look: a choker featuring a diamond brooch, and a cross on a diamond chain.
