In the space of a week, the summer awards show season took off in full swing…a glamorous showcase of dazzling fashions and jewelry. Here’s a Red Carpet roundup of some of our favorite jewelry at the CMTs, CFDAs and Tony Awards.
The Council of Fashion Designers Awards (CFDAs), June 6
Honored with the CFDA’s 2016 Fashion Icon Award, Beyoncé provided celebrity star power on the council’s Red Carpet. Her striped Givenchy pantsuit had tongues wagging, but as Eonline.com pointed out: it was appropriate for the evening’s special tribute to David Bowie. We love Queen Bey’s two-tone earrings and on-trend collar necklace.
Victoria’s Secret angel Elsa Hosk gets OBJ’s vote for best statement earrings of the night. If anyone knows the designer’s name, please write us in the comments section — thanks!
The 2016 CMT Music Awards, June 8
Country music star Carrie Underwood wore a print dress by Mikael D featuring her signature look — a leg-revealing side slit. She accessorized with silver Jimmy Choo shoes, statement earrings by Maxior, and a Noudar ring.
Jamie Lynn Spears
Jamie Lynn Spears juxtaposed a glittery romper with chandelier earrings for an anything-goes-country vibe. Her sparkling pumps and side-swept hair added a bit of Hollywood glamour to her look.
The 70th Annual Tony Awards, June 12
The Best Diamonds of the Night award goes to gorgeous model Jourdan Dunn, who posed on the Red Carpet with designer Zac Posen. Her Lorraine Schwartz diamonds were worn slightly askew in front, a modern take on a classic necklace. With spectacular diamond earrings to match, Dunn’s jewelry was the perfect complement to Posen’s Rose Quartz satin gown.
Wearing an edgy Louis Vuitton dress from the Fall 2016 collection, fashion risk-taker Cate Blanchett wins Best Earrings at the Tony Awards. While the dress received mixed reviews (to say the least), we dare anyone to find fault with her shoulder-dusting diamonds from Repossi.
