Inspired: The Best Emmy Awards Jewelry Looks for Less

The 71st Annual Emmy Awards kicked off a new awards season in royal fashion. Not only did the traditional red carpet turn regal purple for the night, the evening sparkled with television royalty dressed to the nines…and 10s! Here are a few “purple carpet” inspirations to help you find the best Emmy Awards jewelry looks for less…far less.

Zendaya

Fresh from another collaborative collection with Tommy Hilfiger, Zendaya amped up the glamour to represent “Euphoria” at the Emmys. In my mind the young HBO star was hands-down the best dressed woman of the night.

Zendaya was resplendent in Cartier jewels: an 18K white gold cuff with diamonds, a diamond and emerald ring, and my favorite “Panthère de Cartier” earrings with emeralds, onyx and diamonds. These extravagant jewels perfectly set off her emerald-green Vera Wang corset gown. All are “price on request.”

Look for hunter green tuxedo jackets, dresses and ball skirts to be popular this holiday season. Take Zendaya’s cue with the affordable “emerald crystal” Art Deco drops shown above (top right). They’re only $20 at unique-vintage.com.

“Game of Thrones” star Sophie Turner turned to Louis Vuitton for her pale pink Emmys gown, complete with matching belt. She stayed loyal to the house of Vuitton in their 18K white gold necklace with more than 900 diamonds in a sweeping design.

Sophie’s side-swept piece is unique to Vuitton, but I did find an acrylic and crystal necklace by Alexis Bittar with built-in “side appeal.” It’s available at Neiman Marcus stores for $346.

Viola

In my hunt for Emmy Awards jewelry looks for less, I searched for classics that designers might adapt at agreeable prices. I spied Viola Davis’s 3-strand diamond necklace as a case in point.

However, National Jeweler reports that Viola actually “donned three [separate] Rahaminov for Forevermark diamond and 18-karat white gold necklaces at varying lengths …” She also added diamond studs and rings from the brand’s Red Carpet collection.

To achieve Viola’s triple-play look I recommend buying one long necklace of affordable rhinestones or Swarovski crystals, then wrap it two or three times around your neck. It’s a very versatile staple for every fashionable woman’s jewelry wardrobe.

Emilia

“Game of Thrones” actor Emilia Clarke chose jewels from David Webb, the classic American brand known for its bold and colorful designs. To add some sparkle to her (bare) navy dress, Emilia wore cabochon opals set in 18K gold and platinum with fluted sapphires, diamonds and green enamel. Simply stunning.

If you love David Webb’s style as much as I do, check out Brandon Maxwell’s new jewelry collection, Brandon Maxwell X Kenneth Jay Lane. Reminiscent of Webb’s unusual color and gemstone combinations, Maxwell’s designs are much more budget friendly (think low hundreds, not multi-thousands). The fabulous earrings pictured above (right) can be yours for $395.
