Have you been dazzled by the celebrity wedding coverage this spring and summer? It’s almost overwhelming. A-list wedding watchers hardly had time to catch their breath after Pippa Middleton’s “Wedding of the Year “ when the news of supermodel Miranda Kerr’s nuptials broke, followed by actress Jessica Chastain’s marriage in Italy. And that was all in the space of just three weeks!
Let’s take a look at some highlights from the most glamorous Spring/Summer 2017 celebrity weddings.
Pippa Middleton’s country church wedding in Englefield, England, was followed by a reception for hundreds at her parents’ estate in Bucklebury. Featured in the gorgeous wedding party were the bride’s sister, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge (Matron of Honor), and Kate’s children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte (who almost stole the show).
The bride’s “something old” was a gift from her royal sister – a pair of pear-shaped diamond earrings, from London jeweler Robinson Pelham, which Pippa wore at Kate’s wedding in 2011.
OBJ brought you news of the engagement of Miranda Kerr and Snapchat CEO Evan Spiegel last summer. The couple made their announcement on Snapchat, of course, where Kerr unveiled her spectacular round-cut diamond flanked between two baguettes.
After her Los Angeles wedding over Memorial Day weekend, Mrs. Spiegel was next spotted at the Moschino Spring/Summer 2018 Ready-to-Wear show in Hollywood this month. The supermodel wore her new wedding band as she modeled two looks by Moschino’s Jeremy Scott.
PeopleStyle reported: “The thin diamond band sits perfectly underneath her timeless (and massive!) round diamond engagement ring which Spiegel proposed with in 2016.”
Jessica Chastain’s wedding to Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo took place an hour outside of Venice at the groom’s family’s villa in Carbonera. Celebrity guests included fellow actresses Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, both former co-stars of the bride.
De Preposulo, an executive at the fashion house Moncler, comes from a noble family of counts and countesses. However, reports Vogue, Italy no longer officially recognizes the heirs of former royals as royals, so Chastain cannot use the term “countess.”
Never mind, the gorgeous couple looked like a price and princes nonetheless!
I have to thank the man himself @bridalstylesboutique for creating this one of a kind pearl + diamond head piece for me ?? accompanied with pearl stud earrings to complete my look. “Dancing with the Stars” fans’ heads were spinning as two DWTS celebrity weddings took place on the same day in July. Dancers Maksim Chmerkovisky and Peta Murgatroyd were married on Long Island, New York, while judge Julianne Hough married NHL star Brooks Laich in an outdoor ceremony near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.
According to Us Magazine, both Murgatroyd and Chmerkovskiy’s rings were designed by Jacqueline Nerguizian of JN Jewels. Murgatroyd’s custom emerald-cut diamond eternity band weighs 6.5 carats and is set in 18K white gold, while Chmerkovskiy’s classic wedding band is made of white gold.
