Launched in 2008, New York-based Eddie Borgo Jewelry is today considered a top American fashion jewelry brand. Founder and head jewelry designer Eddie Borgo draws inspiration from shapes and symbols in modern art and architecture, creating collections “that challenge our ideas of classicism and luxury.”

Borgo challenges new ideas of modernity in jewelry, sculpture, and objets d’art in what he calls an “exploration of adornment.” Known for fusing high-end and street sensibilities in every piece he creates, Borgo has legions of fans including stylists, fashion influencers and magazine editors who adore his timeless and affordable jewelry.

“My collection is really a continuous study in geometric classicism; architectural and graphic shapes are always something I have been attracted to. I am most inspired by Modern Art. My favorite artists include Tony Smith, Sol LeWitt, Robert Morris, Dan Flavin, Donald Judd, and Richard Serra. I appreciate Art as structure.” —

A Meteoric Rise

Borgo began his exploration of adornment as a college student. His fascination with symbolism in jewelry evolved with his education, and during this time period he created one-off pieces.

After being introduced to several stylists and editors, he was commissioned to create jewelry for the runway shows of Marchesa, Joseph Altuzarra, and Proenza Schouler. Borgo formally launched a collection under his own name in the Spring-Summer 2008 season.

In 2010, Borgo was named runner-up in the (Council of Fashion Designers of America) CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards. In 2011, he won the CFDA Swarovski Award for innovation in accessory design and was a co-recipient of the first-ever CFDA/Vogue Tiffany & Co. Development Grant.
