The Christmas Rose, which blooms in the depths of winter, is a hearty flower—with white petals tinged in pink. It’s the inspiration for installment #3 of our Holiday Jewelry Gift Guide. Here are two of my favorite Fine Jewelry rose collections, and a suggestion from the “How to Get the Designer Look for Less” department:

Dior. Always Monsieur Dior’s favorite flower, the rose has figured in Dior fine jewelry collections since their beginnings. Designer extraordinaire Victoire de Castellane has created limited-edition pieces called Rose Dior Pré Catalan, featuring delicate carved gemstone roses on 18K stems and settings.

Piaget. This famed watch and jewelry house has an abundant bouquet of rose-motif designs. Piaget Rose Collection pendants, sautoirs, rings, and earrings are beautifully crafted with diamond and gemstone blooms in 18K rose gold and white gold. I especially love these pink sapphire and diamond drop earrings, and their long, delicate necklaces made of cut-out gold roses.

Betsey Johnson. I was thrilled to find these rose earrings in faux crystal and pink gold-toned metal for only $35 at Macy’s. To my eye, they are on-trend and have just the right amount of holiday sparkle without going over the top. Needless to say, I bought out my local store’s inventory, but you can find them at BetseyJohnson.com or a department store near you.
