The Palmette Emerald Necklace

Christie’s Hong Kong has unveiled an extraordinary emerald piece to be auctioned at its Magnificent Jewels sale on May 30. The Palmette necklace was created for the House of Boghossian by designer Edmond Chin. It features 11 perfectly matched “no oil” rectangular-cut emeralds, ranging in weight from 3.00 carats to 12.34 carats.

The exquisite emeralds form a repeating palmette leaf motif with white diamonds as spacers. According to the Christie’s catalog, this sale marks the first time such an exclusive selection of emeralds will be offered at auction.

The Palmette necklace is expected to sell for $3.6 to $5 million.
