The annual Cannes Film Festival in France is the world’s most glamorous venue for premiering new films…and new collections of High Jewelry. Every year, led by longtime festival sponsor Chopard, top international jewelry houses compete to adorn the A-list stars who walk the Red Carpet. Let’s take a look at some of the best jewelry at the 69th Cannes Film Festival.
Money Monster star Julia Roberts takes first prize in a dazzling necklace from Chopard’s “Red Carpet Collection,” featuring a pear-shaped emerald (52.76 carats) and diamonds (43.41carats). She also wore a ring of 18K white gold with a pear-shaped emerald (18.49 carats) and diamonds, and a pair of diamond studs, both from the Chopard “High Jewellery Collection.”
Model-of-the-moment Bella Hadid almost stole the show in a nude gown by Roberto Cavalli and an on-trend diamond choker and diamond Florinda bracelet by de Grisogono.
Brand Ambassador Julianne Moore debuted the latest pieces from Chopard’s “Green Carpet Collection” — a pair of earrings and a ring crafted from Fairmined white gold, set with responsibly sourced emeralds from Gemfields.
Thai actress Araya Hargate donned a pair of earrings from the Chopard “High Jewellery Collection” that perfectly matched her gown. Made of 18K white gold, they feature kunzites (40.17 carats), diamonds, rubies and pink sapphires.
Hargate added a bracelet from the “Red Carpet Collection” in 18K white gold set with amethysts (11.85 carats) and a ring from the “High Jewellery Collection” featuring a heart-shaped diamond (15.06 carats) and pavé diamonds.
At the premiere of Woody Allen’s film, Café Society, Naomi Watts stunned in a strapless dress by Giuseppe Zanotti and a colorful necklace from the Bulgari “Italian Extravaganza Collection.” She topped the look off with a pair of Bulgari earrings and an iconic Bulgari Serpenti (snake motif) diamond ring.
