Little girls love their horses…and when they grow up many of them love equestrian-themed jewelry. This year the horse motif is more popular than ever, most likely because it is The Year of the Horse on the Chinese calendar. You can see many of the best examples of equestrian-themed jewelry, both new and vintage, at venues where the horsey set gathers. These include the Hampton Classic Horse Show on Long Island, the polo matches in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the August thoroughbred season in Saratoga Springs, New York. Each year at these events, jewelry companies install pop-up shops with a new crop of fine and costume jewelry styles that appeal to horse lovers and jewelry collectors alike.
