Wondering how to make a statement with earrings this season? It can be confusing, especially considering all the new ear cuffs, ear climbers, and delicate studs—including front-and-back versions. OBJ says invest in big chandelier earrings for Fall/Winter 2014-15. You can’t go wrong with a pair of sparkling danglers — or maybe just one.

Jewelry designer Lisa Salzer of Lulu Frost told The New York Times that the return of chandelier earrings can be credited to the Céline fall runway show, which featured a solo chandelier with every look. “My take is to do one long style with a simple stud on the opposite ear,” Salzer said. OBJ agrees: This way it doesn’t look as if you’ve lost one earring.

Remember in Louisa May Alcott’s Little Women, when sisters Meg and Jo March each wore one good glove and carried one old one to the party? Consider chipping in with your sister or bestie on a fabulous pair of statement chandelier earrings. You can each wear one new one with a stud you already own in the other ear. Hear, hear!

Happy New Year to all our friends celebrating Rosh Hashanah!
