Between the AMAs, several movie premieres, and a superstar wedding, it has been quite a memorable fortnight for red carpet jewels. Here are a few celebrity jewelry highlights:
JLo Glows the AMAs
Jennifer Lopez hosted the November 22 American Music Awards show in LA, changing outfits no less than 10 times! After her sizzling show-opening performance she appeared in a demure pink-and-red gown by Michael Cinco, with diamonds by Neil Lane. As the night progressed her costume changes got more and more revealing. Our favorite was a yellow low-necked gown by Michael Costello, worn with a gold belt and JLo’s signature gold hoop earrings.
Sofia Says, “He Had Me at Hola!”
While JLo was performing, Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and Magic Mike’s Joe Manganiello were tying the knot at The Breakers Palm Beach Resort in Florida. E! Online reports that more than 100 hotel rooms were booked for the wedding party, and 50 private Palm Beach homes were rented out for the lucky guests. The bride’s form-fitting wedding gown by Zuhair Murad was nothing less than spectacular. She added diamonds by Lorraine Schwartz, including 55-carat drop earrings, a diamond bracelet and a dazzling diamond brooch in her hair (more on this trend next month).
Jennifer Lawrence Stuns in Schiaparelli
Jennifer Lawrence has a $15 million contract with Dior which requires her to wear the couture house’s creations to major red carpet events though 2017. But every once in a while the 25-year-old actress breaks away from the mandate and dons something edgier. At the November 16 New York premiere of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2, J-Law stunned in a sexy sheer gown from Schiaparelli Couture, which she accessorized with delicate layered necklaces by Eva Fehren. With a provocative bralette by Eres, a platinum bob, and a vampy red lip, the Oscar winner put a contemporary spin on Old Hollywood glamour.
Olivia Palermo Makes a Statement
Fashionista Olivia Palermo can do no wrong. The style maven and her husband, Johannes Huebl, appeared at a November 6 screening of Spectre in New York City in coordinating outfits that were an ode to navy blue. Palermo wore an off-the-shoulder tunic and matching flared trousers, which she accessorized with a statement necklace, multiple gold earrings, a thick cuff and designer watch. Huebl paired a navy tie and pocket square with a dapper gray suit. What a gorgeous couple!
